Gurian produces hundreds of custom and standard binding, purfling, backstrip and marquetry inlay strips for the musical instrument industry.

Our strips are made completely by us in our factory on the Barge in Seattle, Washington USA. Not a single strip comes from anyplace else. They are constructed of premium wood and cellulose veneers and can come in an almost unlimited combination of dimensions, wood species and colors.

Designing a custom strip has just become simple with our Gurian strip design tool. This tool will allow you to construct -layer by layer and with your choice of available materials- the binding, purfling and backstrip to fit your needs.

Keep these important details in mind when you order your strips:

• There is a $200 minimum for custom strips. This is because we have to glue-up full blocks to slice and re-laminate to construct the strips.
• A layout can yield a wide range; from 30-90 strips! The difference is dependent on design and the height of the strip.

• Custom designed means that design is yours alone. We do not resell or offer for sale something you’ve designed to anyone but you. This way you have a unique signature added to your instruments, concepts or company.
